Visit to Orqa Company

On April 19, 2023, we concluded our study visits as part of the “Capabilities of a Smart Village” project with a visit to Orqa d.o.o. company in Osijek. Orqa is engaged in research, development, and prototyping of devices in the field of First Person View (FPV) technologies, Remote Reality (RR), video signal transmission, radio communication, as well as manufacturing electronic components and devices. Their most famous product is the FPV goggles for drone pilots, known as FPV.One. The research, development, and production of electronic components and devices are based in Osijek, within the BIOS Entrepreneurial Incubator.

Teachers and other staff members of “Mijat Stojanović” Elementary School visited the company in Osijek, where they learned about its activities and how these innovative individuals apply STEM knowledge and skills in practice. They also had the opportunity to firsthand experience the FPV technology. What particularly impressed us was their vision of collaborating with schools to provide students with the opportunity to work with this technology. We hope that there will be opportunities for the school to collaborate with the company in the future.
