Last week, the principal of the “Mijat Stojanović” Primary School in Babina Greda and the project manager of “Capabilities of a Smart Village,” Anja Čović Bilbija, visited several schools in the surrounding area to present the project’s activities and results.

Dissemination included study visits to Norway and FERIT, the Institute of Physics, and the PISMO Incubator, completed educational activities (Encouraging creativity and problem-oriented teaching, Civic Responsibility and Life Skills, Educational Robotics and STEAM Training, and Teaching using 3D models), a comparison of the Norwegian and Croatian educational systems, as well as current project activities and issues related to project implementation.

The principal and project manager visited the Sikirevci Primary School in Sikirevci, the August Šenoa Primary School in Gundinci, the Stjepan Cvrković Primary School in Stari Mikanovci, and the Matija Antun Reljković Primary School in Cerna. In addition to the presentation, the project participants showed colleagues some of the equipment procured as part of the project, such as LEGO robots used for „Educational robotics and STEAM training“, which students will use to prepare for the First Lego League competition next school year. Colleagues from neighboring schools showed interest in the project being carried out by the “Mijat Stojanović” Primary School.

Dissemination is planned in two more primary schools in the surrounding area, as well as Open Days when the wider public will be able to come to the school and see the project’s previous results.
